What is the first thing that comes to your mind, just before you take a picture?

the first thing that comes to mind right when i take a picture is i guess me just testing out if i have good lighting and my surroundings are good and things like that.my model is positions they way she or he wants and just start shooting and to me its just all the right lightings and things like that rather if flash is need and things. for example when i was doing the sunset photo i tested out some things like do i need flash or is the reflector just fine or do i need my exposure a certain way the shutter speed exedra and things like that. i enjoyed and thats what matters i guess
